Deep dive into your Mercury data with the powerful Advanced Find

Using Microsoft's new Advanced Find feature from within Mercury.

What

This is for anyone wanting to build detailed views for reporting. There are some views that you cannot put together by simply accessing a data entity/focus from the main sitemap menu in the main far left panel in Mercury. However, the main Search bar at the top of every screen in Mercury, is far more powerful than how it may first appear!

Where

The Search bar at the top of any screen in Mercury:

 

How

1. Click in the Search bar (as shown above), the click Search for rows in a table using advanced filters:

 

2. You will then be presented with an extremely detailed itemised list of 'tables' within your Mercury data, from which you can start building some very powerful advanced queries and data searches. You can either search for a table name, or select one from the list:

 

 


3. Click Continue once you have selected a table, and now you can start to build very detailed and complex searches to really drill down into your data:
