Understand the config option for fields on the Client to record Credit Checks

Feature Overview

Credit checks can be logged in Mercury under the Client record within the Administration tab. Users with permission can access and modify the following fields

Users without the required permission cannot view the fields for Credit Limit, Credit Rating, or Credit Check Comments. Additionally, they are unable to place a Client on Credit Hold.

Purpose

A View can be created to display all Clients with an active vacancy alongside their credit check status, helping ensure you engage with credit-worthy Clients.

Defaults and Considerations

By default, the 6 credit check fields are hidden and permission granted to Mercury Administrators and Mid/Back Office users.

Also consider using an Off Limits reason of 'Poor Credit' or other appropriate wording.

To Amend or Enable this Feature

Please let your PC know the following by raising a case on the portal.

  1. Which of the Client credit check fields you would like unhidden, using the excel sheet 'Field Level Customisations'
  2. Any additional users (other than Mercury Administrators and Mid/Back Office users) who should have permission to view and amend the credit check data by raising a case on the portal.
