What
From a Shortlist, move a Candidate through the recruitment process from a Vacancy to a Placement, with the drag-and-drop functionality of a Shortlist Board. Any changes made will feed back to the Vacancy, Candidate, and relevant Placement records.
Where
From Mercury:
Home > Vacancies > Vacancy Record > Candidates tab > Shortlists button > Board View
Shortlist Board view:
1. Shortlist Statuses
2. Sort By: Newest to Oldest, or Oldest to Newest
3. Expand each Candidate text box to view information such as:
- Name (click the hyperlink to view the Candidate card in a pop-up window)
- Current Job Title
- Current Client
- Last date of Shortlist update
- Salary Information
- Latest Feedback
- Vacancy Details: Job Title and Position Type
4. Not all Shortlist statuses may be visible on-screen, click the arrow(s) to navigate
How
Change Candidate Shortlist Status
Drag-and-drop Candidates between statuses. A grey box appears where the Candidate will move to:
Statuses
Offer Accepted (and Placement creation)
Submitted
When a Candidate is updated to Submitted, the following pop-up appears. The financial details are populated from the vacancy. These can either be saved to the shortlist upon submitting, or amended and saved to the shortlist instead.
Client Shortlisted
No additional information is required when a Candidate is updated to Shortlisted.
Interview
Candidates at any Interview stage will have a flag added: 'Interview First', 'Interview Further', or 'Interview Final'.
For multi-stage interview processes, you can add another interview by selecting Options > New Interview.
Offer Made
Offer Accepted (and Placement creation)
Offer Accepted
When a Candidate accepts an offer, the same pop-up shown from the Submitted stage will be shown again. However, no changes can be made at this stage.
Placement Record creation
Following this, a pop-up appears to notify that a Placement record will now be created. This message will not disappear until the Close button is clicked.
Navigate to the Placement record in three ways:
1. Notifications
NOTE: This is part of Mercury Automate. See New Placement Notifications for more information.
2. Vacancy Record > Candidates tab > Placements
NOTE: This will only show active Placements.
3. Vacancy Record > Related Tab > Placements tab > Placement Associated View
NOTE: From here both the Vacancy Ref (TR/156387) and the PlacementID (016244/00/00) can be viewed for any cross-reference.

Offer Rejected
The Rejection Reason is required, Additional Information in optional.
