What
The character limit for fields in the User Fields tabs has now increased. User Fields within Mercury now allow 10,000 characters. Previously the fields only allowed 2,000 characters. This has now been improved to allow more detail to be recorded in the system.
Where
The character limit update has been made in the following areas of Mercury:
Clients
Home > Sitemap > Clients > Select your View > Click into a Client record > Click the User Fields tab
Vacancies
Home > Sitemap > Vacancies > Select your View > Click into a Vacancy record > Click the User Fields tab
Contacts
Home > Sitemap > Contacts > Select your View > Click into a Contact record > Click the User Fields tab
Placements
Home > Sitemap > Placements > Select your View > Click into a Placement record > Click the User Fields tab
How
Clients
Once you have selected a Client record, the User Fields tab can be seen on the main page. Click the tab to see the User Fields. A character-count feature will activate as soon as you start typing into a User Field - it will display in real time the number of characters remaining in the new limit:
Vacancies

Contacts
