NOTE: The instructions in this article can only be carried out by your organisation's System Administrator.

1. When trying to access Documents within a Contact record, the following error message can sometimes appear:

You don't have permissions to view files in this location. Contact your Microsoft Teams owner or SharePoint Administrator for access.

2. To resolve the issue, a System Administrator needs to go into SharePoint > click the waffle icon and then select the SharePoint app:

3. When SharePoint opens up, click on the Settings toggle in the top right of the menu bar at the top of the page, and click on Site Permissions:

4. The right-hand side pane will change > click on Advanced permissions settings as shown below:

5. The screen below then appears:

As per the sequence in the above screenshot, for the user who is unable to access the Documents tab, the System Administrator should:

1 - Grant permissions to that user.

2 - Allow the user's permissions to be changed.

3 - Check the user's permissions.

4 - Set the user's permissions levels.

5 - Place the user in the Mercury All Users domain group, which allows them to View and Add documents to the Documents tab in Mercury. In the example above, the permission level for All Users is Edit.

Once the user is placed in the appropriate group, they will then be able to view the Documents in any associated entity within Mercury.
