What is it?

The Mercury Candidate Portal is a web based portal that allows Candidates to submit information directly to the hiring Client they work for, or to the Recruiter they are dealing with, enabling a timely start of their Placement, as well as meeting all legal and Compliance requirements. The Candidate's use of the Portal also allows the Recruiter to bill on time.

Who is it for?

Mercury Candidate Portal is for Recruiters who want to give their Candidates the ability to submit Compliance evidence and Time & Expenses data directly to the Mercury CRM, thereby removing the need for laborious emails, telephone calls or re-keying of information.

It is also for Clients and Recruiters who need to review this data and can therefore have access to a single central view of it all, removing the need for multiple copies of various information, without the Client or Candidate needing any direct access to the core Mercury product.

It ensures that Timesheets are submitted promptly so that billing can happen quickly and efficiently by highlighting to the Candidates, Clients and Recruiters what information is due, when and also if it is late.

How does it work?

Mercury Candidate Portal is a web-based application that can be accessed by users via a web browser or mobile device from any location.

Recruiters can choose which Candidates are given access and whether those Candidates can use the Timesheet and/or Expenses functionality.

The Candidate Portal allows users to be able to do the following without resorting to phone calls or emails, and without recourse to duplicating data for multiple stakeholders:

  • Keep personal details up-to-date.

  • Keep preferred contact methods up-to-date.

  • Maintain latest CV.

  • Withdraw previously agreed data consents.

  • Provide compliance evidence required in order to begin the role(s).

  • Submit Timesheets and attach supporting documentation.

  • Submit Expenses and attach supporting documentation.

  • Review previously submitted Timesheets and Expenses.

  • Review compliance statuses.

Why should I use this?

The Candidate Portal is very easy to use. It is a modern web-based user interface that requires little to no training for anyone, even those with a very basic knowledge of using a web page. It is targeted at a specific audience made up of a specific group of users for a very specific and appropriate set of user scenarios, making it easy to understand and navigate.

It significantly reduces the volume of telephone calls, emails and general ‘traffic’ related to Onboarding and submitting Time & Expense information:

  • Candidates have a single place to look at and understand what they need to do next.

  • Recruiters can instantly see in Mercury when Compliance evidence has been submitted and when Time & Expenses information has been submitted, meaning that they can bill on time and for the full amount.

  • Candidates can start uploading documentation prior to the Recruiter finalising the Placement, ensuring that the Candidate can start the role on time and that the Recruiter can bill when expected. Early submission of Compliance evidence also ensures that any issues are identified early to mitigate the risk of the Candidate not being able to start on time.

  • Clients can brand the Portal in line with their own company branding.
