Introduction 

Shows information about the true monetary value (true WGP) generated by active Placements, by month.  

Details shown of Placement type, along with splits of New and Extensions. Placement value metrics are displayed for the time period selected, as well as how many Consultants have secured New and Extended Placements, with min and max months for the year. 

 

Report highlight

Permanent Placements value added on start date, with Contract/Temp value recognised across the duration of the contract.

Report summary

The Placement Value report shows the overall Gross Profit for Placements. You can see the overall Placement value, with the main chart showing the Placement value split by Placement type. 

The measures used for Permanent Placements are displayed in the headlines, which can be toggled to show the Contract/Temp equivalent measures. For Permanent you will see the total gross profit, the average fee percentage and the number of starters. By switching to the measures for Contract/Temp you'll then see the average true weekly gross profit, the average margin percentage and also the number of starters.  

The right hand cards show details about the volumes of Consultants with New Placements and Consultants with Extended Placements for the year-to-date. The larger bubbles on the left show the current month, with the smaller bubbles on the right showing the maximum and minimum months for the year-to-date as well.   

This allows a comparison between how many Consultants have actually made new Placements in any given month with the previous best and worst months, and how many Consultants have extended Placements - again compared to the best and worst months. 

There are multiple filters available for Financial Year, Quarter or Month, as well as splitting that data down by Business Unit, Territory, Site, Primary Team and right down to individual Consultant, as well as selecting a specific date range. 
 

 

Glossary of terms for this report

Headlines

  • Placement Value - true gross profit for all Placements combined (excluding Cancelled status). For Permanent Placements, this is recognised on the start date of the Placement, and for Contract/Temp Placements it’s spread over the duration of the contract. 

  • Avg True WGP - the average true Weekly Gross Profit for runners (including costs, e.g. travel expenses) in the time period selected.  

  • Avg Margin % - the average Margin Fee % for Contact/Temp Placements in the time period selected. 

  • Total GP - the Total Gross Profit generated by Permanent Placements in the time period selected.  

  • Avg Fee % - the Average Fee % for Permanent Placements/Vacancies in the time period selected.
