Introduction

Targets that are displayed in the Mercury Analytics Performance vs Target report are created, configured and assigned in the Mercury Admin app in order to flow through to the Power BI report.

Managers can create a name for a target against a pre-set Key Performance Indicator (KPI), decide the frequency the Consultant will be targeted on, and the target itselfThis target can then be easily assigned to one or many Consultants.

The five predetermined KPIs used in the report are:

  • Vacancies added

  • CV Submissions

  • Interviews

  • Offers

  • Placements (by value)

Configuration summary

Step 1

For a user to be able to set Targets against the available KPIs, they firstly need to be assigned the Can update targets security role through Manage roles in the Mercury Admin app.

Step 2

In the Mercury Admin app, they will see two new entities in the Config area under Editable settings, one for KPIs and one for Targets. Under the KPIs entity, there are currently 5 predetermined KPIs, which are:

  • Vacancies added (metric = Count)

  • CVs Submitted (metric = Count)

  • Interviews arranged (metric = Count)

  • Offers Made (metric = Count)

  • Placements by Value (metric = Value)

  •

Step 3

Under the Targets entity is where a User (normally a Team Manger) can create a New Target and give it a Name. They can then:

  • Associate it to one of the 5 pre-set KPIs.

  • Set a Frequency (Daily, Weekly or Monthly).

  • Determine the Target itself (a Count for most KPIs, or a monetary Value for Placements by Value).

  •

Step 4

When a Target has been created, it can be saved and then assigned to one or many individual Users at the bottom of that screen.

Step 5

When an individual Consultant who has had Targets assigned looks at the Performance vs Target report in the Analytics app, they will then see something similar to the below, featuring only their own data. The headlines represent their All-time Performance, and the cards below show the Performance against Current Targets, including Frequency:
