This article explains how to create Hot Lists in Mercury Search, and how to populate them with Contacts (Candidates) directly within Search itself, from Vacancy records. With this method, you can also add Candidates from Mercury Search directly to any existing Hot Lists.

How 

1. Open Mercury Search, either using the dedicated URL (search.wearemercury.com) or from the Search button in the ribbon menu at the top of the main Mercury CRM screen.

2. From the opening screen, make sure the Filters option is selected, and then click the Vacancy Shortlist Status filter:
 

 

 

3. Select a period of time in the past - e.g. the last x number of Days, Weeks, Months or Years.

4. Then select the particular Shortlist status(es) that you want those Candidates to have reached within the time period that you have selected above.

 

 

5. Then click away from the Status selector to confirm your choices:

 

 

6. Then click the next filter down called Vacancy and enter the name of the Vacancy that has the associated Candidates that you want to populate your Hot List with:

 

 

7. Mercury Search will then return the corresponding Candidate matches:

 

 

8. Change the view from Tiles View to List View and select your required Candidates:




 


 

 

 

9. Then select the option to Add to Hot List:

 

 

10. Click the double-chevrons button in the far right-hand bottom corner:

 

 

11. Then select an existing Hot List to add those Candidates to, or create a new Hot List:

 

 

12. Enter a name for your new Hot List and Create the new Hot List:

 

 

 

13. A pop-up message will appear at the top of the screen, confirming the creation of the new Hot List:
