What

There is now a feature within Mercury that allows users to pin important events in a Contact's record to the top of their respective Timelines. This allows users to be immediately informed of key information instead of filtering for certain activities allowing a more streamlined experience. 

The list of fields that can be pinned within a Timeline are:

  • Email
  • Appointment
  • Phone Call
  • Data Consent Change
  • Placement Approval
  • Shortlist Update
  • SMS
  • Update
  • Approval
  • LinkedIn InMail

NOTE: Users can only pin up to a maximum of 15 records within a Timeline. If this limit is surpassed then an error message will appear.

NOTE: The specific Security Role called Mercury - Can Pin or Unpin Activities needs to be assigned to all required Users. 

 

Where

The Pin feature can currently be found in 4 forms within the system, as follows:

  • Client
  • Contact
  • Vacancy 
  • Placement

 

How

Via a Vacancy

Access the Timeline found in the Activities & Description tab where users will be able to pin an activity via the Pin icon.

Once this has been selected it will be promoted to the first record in the Timeline.

Users will also be able to Unpin a record via the same function.

Once a record has been unpinned, it will return to its normal position within the record listing. For example, if an activity was 5th in a list and then pinned, it will appear at the top of the Vacancy Timeline; once this record has been unpinned it will return back to appearing 5th in the list.
 


 

Via a Contact & Client

Access the Timeline found in the General tab where users will be able to pin an activity via the Pin icon.

Access the Timeline found in the Admin & Activities tab where users will be able to pin an activity via the Pin icon.
