What

Worker types define how a candidate works (PAYE, Temp Visa, limited company, umbrella company, etc.) and what compliance documents are needed for each. This can also include more specific roles such as within healthcare, education, social work, etc. Using Worker Types allows for the ability to record specific compliance for a particular role within a company.

An agreement is either client specific requirements or general business terms, i.e. terms of business. It is a high level record that holds all the key details of the contract with the customer, e.g. purchase orders, equipment provisioning, security clearances, etc. Agreements are Client specific and don't have the same level of configurability as Worker Types.

Using worker types and agreements together allows for greater flexibility and precision when managing placement requirements - defining compliance needs based on the nature of the role, not just the client.

Worker Types

There may be more than one worker type added to a Placement. For example, for a support worker there may be: Primary Worker Type: PAYE and Additional Worker Type: Support worker; which may include compliance criteria such as: Occupational health, safeguarding, Enhanced DBS, immunisation checks, etc.

NOTE: If the same criterion is on both worker types, then there will only be a single compliance status for that criterion on the placement.

Worker Types (Primary): Compliance

Agreements

Some clients may use generic Agreements where they don't link them to clients, or they might create client specific agreements. An agreement added to a Vacancy will carry over to the Placement. In comparison, Worker Type is only added in at the Placement stage.

NOTE: Everything included in an Agreement may not show up in the same location in a Placement record.
e.g. Placement > Compliance tab
- ‘Compliance’ section includes references, right to work
- ‘Onboarding’ section includes equipment provision

Agreements: Terms of Business
