Where

There are 3 search functions to use, click on each to jump down to the relevant section:

Access from Mercury via:

  • Contacts > ribbon bar > TextKernel Search

  • Contacts > Contact Record > ribbon bar > TextKernel > TextKernel Search

  • Vacancies (including when a Vacancy record tickbox is selected) > ribbon bar > TextKernel Search

  • Vacancies > Vacancy Record > ribbon bar > TextKernel > TextKernel Search

 

 

Candidate Search Results Page

The general TextKernel search will open in a new window and will open on the Candidate Search tab by default. 

 

Features of note

1. ‘Add to Project’ is the TextKernel equivalent of Mercury Hotlists. 
2. ‘Compare Profiles’ shows all fields of two of more selected profiles in a pop-up window (including blank fields).
3. ‘Send Group Email' opens in the Email Editor.
 
4. Suggested terms to add to a search show in a word cloud for facets (i.e. filter terms)

 

 

Candidate Information 

1. ‘View Profile’ opens the Candidate CV parsed by TextKernel

2. ‘Match!’ will swap to the Job Search tab, populating relevant facets to match the Candidate to Vacancies. 

3. ‘Open Candidate Profile’ opens the Candidate Record in Mercury (in a new window). 

4. ‘Create Phone Call’ opens a new Phone Call record in Mercury. This will save back to the Candidate Record Timeline. For information about the fields to fill in, see Logging a Phone Call

5. ‘Send Email’ opens in the Email Editor.

 

 

Match to Contact

Access from Mercury via:

  • Contacts > Contact Record > ribbon bar > TextKernel > TextKernel Match to Contact 

 

Job Search Results Page

Results will show in the TextKernel Search tab of the Contact Record and will open on the Job Search tab by default. 

 

Features of note

1. The search will pull relevant information from the Candidate Record to conduct the search. For example, current job role, location, tags, and the status of the Vacancy. 
2. Related Terms may be added to a search term, Click the drop-down arrow to select, unselect, or add terms. Also, choose the weighting of the search term on a scale of ‘Nice to have’ to ‘Must have’.
3. Click the star icon to save a result. This will be saved as a ‘Project’ (new or existing). 
4. This icon shows the strength of the match of the Vacancy and the Candidate. 

 

Vacancy Information 

1. ‘View Job’ opens the job information within TextKernel. 

2. ‘Match!’ will swap to the Candidate Search tab, populating relevant facets to match the Vacancy to Candidates. 

3. ‘Open Job’ opens the Vacancy Record in Mercury (in a new window). 

4. ‘Open Google Maps' will open maps in a new window, showing the travel time (by driving) from the Candidate's address to the Vacancy address. 

5. ‘Shortlist' will add the current Candidate to the Shortlist of the Vacancy. You will get a notification once this has been created for the current Candidate, and can also find it under the Candidate tab of the Candidate Record.
